i don't know if there's been any news lately cuz of th no power.
i had so many alerts when i checked my email that i got all freaked out & left. i'm sure most of it will just be New York Giants football crap, cuz that's mostly what it is. i always gotta weed through it all to find the little gems. here's a cool thing though... my Nathan was in New York City last weekend & he went to see em at Le Poisson Rouge!!! (yeah, i know i probably spelled that wrong) he said he was gonna write me a review. i hope he does, cuz i haven't talked to him since Saturday afternoon before the show. -------------------- ![]() |

Oh, cool!
I haven't really heard anything new...-------------------- "I feel like the mere existence of They Might Be Giants in the world of commercial music is an untenable, unworkable idea."

They Might Be Giants just won their second Grammy!!!
![]() I just saw it on the streaming pre-telecast! They were so cute. Flans wasn't there for some reason, so Linnell thanked everyone and Danny said a few words too. It was really sweet. -------------------- ![]() |

Grammytime! Thanks for catching that, GR! I didn't notice it at first, but I just sent them some linkz Also, weren't TMBG supposed to play at Conan's final episode? They got totally gypped! -------------------- JF: Our trumpet player will play a solo, and you'll see some kids dancing, some confused or crying. But then you'll see a kid who is just locked on the soloist, and you'll realize that kid is gonna grow up to be a trumpet player.

i know why Flansy wasn't at the Grammy's now.
i was afraid of this, cuz i knew his Dad was old & ailing...Former Cornell trustee, architect Earl Flansburgh dies at 77 From Staff Reports • February 11, 2009 Earl Flansburgh, a Cornell University architecture alumnus who was a member of the university Board of Trustees, a professor and a prominent architect specializing in educational buildings, died Feb. 3 at age 77 after a long battle with Parkinson's disease, said his widow, Polly Flansburgh. Advertisement Flansburgh grew up in Ithaca as the son of a college professor and received his bachelor of architecture degree in 1953 from Cornell. He was on the university's governing board from 1972-87, according to the College of Architecture, Art, and Planning. He was chairman of the board's Building and Properties Committee, his wife said. According to the college, Flansburgh was one of the first architects to serve as a trustee and served as a continuous member of the Architecture, Art, and Planning advisory council, finishing his 38th year at the time of his death. After college, Flansburgh served two years in the U.S. Air Force. In 1957, after receiving his master's degree in architecture at MIT, Flansburgh spent a year in Britain, where he studied modular prefabrication and taught at the Architectural Association on a Fulbright Scholarship. Returning to Cambridge, Mass., he worked for several years at The Architects Collaborative before founding Earl R. Flansburgh and Associates in 1963. During his more than 40 years of practice, the firm's work including such projects as a hi-tech teaching facility for software engineering and a U.S. consulate in Turkey.
