I decided it would be fun to blog about one of TMBG's albums every day, as I'm still a new fan and my ideas are fresh. First one is up: http://www.last.fm/user/BringtheKY/journal...might_be_giants

Yeah but 3/5 is the average of stuff that is in my itunes list, its not to say its bad, but neither of those songs are standouts for me at all.

Nice write-up. emo-tmbgtalk_thumbup.gif

(I remember when I reviewed this album on Amazon -- although I gave it 5 stars, I did suggest that 3 or 4 of the tracks were "filler"...) emo-tmbgtalk_hmm.gif

Working on Lincoln right now.

Which tracks did you think were filler?

"Boat Of Car," "Toddler Hiway," and "32 Footsteps" -- I thought they were a little amusing at first but then got tired of them for a long while. (This was several years ago -- they've since grown on me a bit. I was also kind of dismissive of "The Day" at first, but now I love it.)

emo-tmbgtalk_lol2.gif yeah. if the host would've stopped egging them on before they started playing the song, he wouldnt've had to talk through it. emo-tmbgtalk_rolleyes2.gif

The Fids and Kamily Music Awards have been announced! That's the yearly poll that compiles a list of the year's best CDs for kids and families. I was happy to be one of the 23 judges for a third straight year.

They Might Be Giants tops the judges' list once again with their fourth children's CD, Here Comes Science. It's hard to compete with TMBG and their appealing brand of quirky, catchy songs.

# 4. They Might Be Giants - Here Comes Science

Are we the victims of some kind of cruel "flash mob" stunt in which people who don't really care about us are being paid or coerced into showing up with lyrics memorized and t-shirts printed? I've heard about that happening to other bands.
