I saw that in my EW this weekend -- I've never seen the film, myself, but I can imagine what a helluva find it must be!

i've never seen it either. galoot has it in his 51 Classic Horror Movies collection, & we were gonna watch it one day, but we didn't cuz i didn't feel like having to read. silent movies are easy to read though, cuz the text is always really big, & they leave it up for a long time. we'll get around to it one of these days, i'm sure.

but yeah, i bet a lot of fans freaked out when they heard about it. a lot of people love that movie.

I think regardless of the quality of the footage, with stuff like this, there are always going to be people who'll treasure it for the big deal that it is, as well as people who are going to be disappointed because the real thing could never match what they've built it up to be in their minds.
