i'm glad you're ok Cronny! when i heard about it, you were the first thing that came to my mind. i'm glad there was so little damage, & no fatalities. (that i know of) maybe it let off some pressure to hold off the big one for longer.
it would be so weird to have been in one of those tall buildings downtown. they build em to sway in an earthquake. i saw a lady on TV saying her building swayed for a long time.

Bleh.. I hate thinking about the big one... It's always in the back of your mind. This quake has made me decide to do some research on that.

no matter where you live, there's something that can kill you.
like here, we have tornadoes, & there's also the New Madrid fault over by the eastern corner of the state. if you live on a coast, you can get hit by a hurricane. even Yellowstone is just a giant volcano. if it decides to blow, we're all screwed. 
not that that probably helps any.
one thing we in the US have going for us over like say China is that there are building codes here. if a 5.4 hit China, or like say Afghanistan or India, a lot of their buildings woulda fell down. in LA it was just an inconvenience, not a disaster.
i think i'd be more worried about fires if i lived there. it seems like there's always something burning. then when it rains, you get mudslides. oy.
but you got lots of movie stars, so YaY.
