so apparently, not only did China fake some fireworks in the opening ceremonies, but they had one little girl lip sync another little girl's song, because she wasn't cute enough to be seen on worldwide TV.

i think the girl who won the contest & actually sang the song is plenty cute. is it just me or what? if they really didn't like her teeth, maybe they shoulda paid to fix em... you know, like for free. i guess they blew all their money on the CGI fireworks.

I think the real girl is adorable and that China is bat shit insane about the policies it's instated to improve its image while the foreign press is in their country.

yeah, they're bastards. the worst thing is how they brainwash their citizens into thinking it's ok. if that little girl was in the US, she'd totally be suing someone over this by now.

I don't really think either is cute, but that's only because I don't like kids. It's not a major deal to me since it has no real effect on the games themselves, but it does clearly hurt their image having done something like this. Among many other things to improve image.

apparently, Spain's basketball team (some of whom play in the US) think it's funny to make ching chong eyes.

Kobe Bryant said if the US team did that, they'd all be kicked out of the Olympics. for once, i actually agree with Kobe.

in defense of the US Olympic team, they're not whining about it. everybody else is though. the one girl even said if she hadn't of fell on her butt during the floor exercise, they would've won the gold.

there is no shame in a silver medal, if you ask me.
