My friend Alex Hess is a lefty, since he's only got four fingers on his right hand. And Neil is a lefty, too (if you see any of his videos where he does any writing, you can tell. Plus he autographed something for me at Youmacon). I didn't even know a lefty day existed.

my sister Sarah is the only left-handed person in my family, at Thanksgiving dinner we always arrange the seating so that I can sit next to her and we won't hit elbows while we eat she's awesome!

Speaking of lefties, Ichiro Suzuki isn't even a left-hander. He actually bats right handed, but as a kid taught himself how to bat lefty so that he could be closer to 1st base. Which is also why he runs down the line as he's swinging. Also there's a minor league pitcher who's ambidextrous as well, where he can pitch right or left handed. His glove is specially fitted so that he can wear it on both hands, meaning he can change to his other side if his arm gets tired or if he has to face an opposite handed batter.

Zambrano is a switch hitter, but i think he only pitches right handed.

there are lots of switch hitters, & lefties in baseball. when Noah was first born my brother told me to tie his right hand behind his back. i didn't, but he became a lefty anyway. although he's a rabid Cubs fan, he was never all that interested in playing baseball. (much to Tim's chagrin, i'm sure)

Yeah, Zambrano's a right-handed pitcher and bats switch. Which I thought was pretty interesting when I saw it on my game because I never noticed before. He's a great batter for a pitcher, too. Milwaukee's (formerly Cleveland's) CC Sabathia is a left handed pitcher, though.

Zambrano has said he'll never play in the American League, cuz he loves to bat too much. they even use him as a pinch hitter sometimes.
