I almost never see movies in their first theatrical run more than once, but The Bourne Ultimatum was even better the second time around (knowing where the story was going, I could better enjoy the performances and dialogue).

you're not missing a thing. it's a big wet mess all over the house, & if you live in the woods like i do, it's just a chance to get stuck in the driveway & junk.

i don't think it'll stay on the ground long. the next day is supposed to be in the 40s.

the kids are coming up next Thursday. as long as there isn't snow then, i'll be ok. i don't want them driving 3 1/2 hours home in the snow. plus they gotta drive up to Springfield MO to play a Dino Frenzy show on Friday, & then to Harrison for another show like the next day.

i can't afford any smashed up cars.


so far, 2 out of 3 of my mods have answered the call to be mods for me again here. Vy's busy fighting a war, but i'm sure he'll probably say yes too, if he can ever get to the computer.

luckily, this board doesn't need much moderation.

I am SO glad that this week is finally over! I just got paid today and I'm ready for the weekend now

i had a fun time at Mom's last night. i loved my little brother's reaction when Mom mentioned that my nephew is gay. i guess he's the only one who didn't know.

in a family as big as mine, eventually someone was bound to be sooner or later. i'm glad he is, cuz it's a lot of what makes him who he is, & he's like the awesomest person!

i guess he was out of the loop when people found out.

I'm at home. I'm bored because I have nowhere to go and nothing to do. I made a little to-do list of things I wanted to do over break, and I'm like almost done with it haha.

i'm afraid that's what's gonna happen to Nate. if he gets bored i'm gonna make him take me for groceries.

i babysat Tanner today, & he was actually awake.

he wasn't too thrilled to be stuck with me at first, but after 2 hours of intense play, he warmed up to me. he actually kinda cried a little when i had to go. AND he reached for ME when his Mom had him, so hey... i still got it.

tomorrow is my last day of school before Christmas break, and since I got all of my semester tests out of the way it'll be a free day! a friend of mine is coming in from Boston for the holidays so a few of us are gonna get together and go see Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street it'll be fun!

also, my co-workers got me a giftcard, but it got lost before they could give it to me just my luck I guess...

Tanner is a really good baby. he's no trouble at all. (he's not really a baby, he's like 1... but he can't say lots of words yet or anything. he walks though)

it was fun, but it made me glad mine are all grown up. little kids are exhausting.

also, i was there when Dylan & Mason got home, so i saw them too. Mason gave me a big hug.

i didn't get to see Riley though. she was with my other Neice. i'll see her on Christmas.

I went and saw 'National Treasure' today with my best friend today, we're probably going to see 'Sweeney Todd' tomorrow, I'll be sure to let you know how it went!

man, it's been a crazy week yesterday me and my sister went to Fort Smith, AR to go shopping again and her car broke down right at an intersection! we had to pull the car over as far as we could into the little shoulder thingy and 2 cops stopped to see what was going on, the fist one was really sweet and helped us push the car a little farther out of the way, buth the second one was a real jerk who was yellin' at us and had his lights flashing anyways,after a lot of hassle we finnaly got towed home at like 5:00PM christmas shopping is such a pain!

My nails get dry and bittle in the winter. I go through a lot of lotion too. We cleaned the guinea pig's cage today -- she definitely appreciates dry bedding.

it's Christmas, & i'm waiting for the kids to get up.

Larry (my brother in law) sez the X in Xmas is from the Greek word for Christ, so now i don't gotta feel bad about saying it.

we had fun at Mom's last night. we were the last kids to leave. i told Mom that made us the best.

My parents and I exchanged gifts yesterday morning -- we were going to do it last night after dinner, but we couldn't even wait until then. We spent the rest of the day watching DVDs that we'd given each other.

And today we gave my sister, her boyfriend, and Caleb their presents, and we all had a big dinner together.

that sounds fun.

we went to our Neice's. it was real nice. all the kids were so cute. it's fun being around kids on Christmas.

when we came home, Riley came with us, then the boys came over. they were a delight. i hope Amy got to take a breath for a little while.

so yeah... Christmas is over for another year. it was fun, but still... YaY.

we had a nice big dinner yesterday and we all passed out gifts. I got a lot of really nice stuff, it was lots of fun we watched the DVDs we had gotten each too we're pretty big on entertainment

also, my friend came in from Boston and we all finally got to see Sweeney Todd I really enjoyed it, it's this awesome elegant slasher/musical flick Tim Burton has made yet another beautiful film, it was really gory but if that doesn't bother you I think you'd enjoy it

after that, we went and got some ice cream at the Marble Slab it's really expensive, but totally worth it!

good thing i got the new drooly guy.


i'm dying to see Sweeney Todd but it doesn't open here till the 11th.

i have a quiche in the oven. i hope it turns out good.

did i ever mention that i beat everyone at Super Scrabble the other night? it was kinda fun to whoop my college educated children at a brain game, i must admit.

Super Scrabble rocks. there are twice the tiles, & the board is twice the size, & it has ridges to hold the tiles in place, & little wheel thingys so you can turn it.

Nate said that was the first time he's got beat by a real person (as in not online) in so long that he couldn't even remember.

i considered it a small victory for Moms everywhere.

i was freakin out a little at first, cuz i was afraid i had a big leak down at the old house. i'm glad it wasn't that.

Last month, my house lost nearly all its hot-water pressure for at least two weeks -- there was a leak in the plumbing, but it got fixed the day after Christmas; and new faucets for the kitchen and bathroom sinks were installed this past weekend.

man, i bet that was a relief!

last year i had em pump out my septic in November, cuz i knew if i didn't i was just asking for trouble.

Today's my first day of classes for the quarter. I woke up on time and everything for my 8:30 class (earliest yet in college!) and it seemed like its gonna be really cool. Its an ecology class. Yay I love nature and animals.

I have a class at 11:30 also. I'm just hanging out at home now, on the computer waiting to leave for my next class. My friend from home (HS BFF) is here for the week. I let him sleep in so I'm on my laptop in the dining room. We're gonna go to lunch after my class is over at 12:20.

i can tell you right now what's wrong with your shower drain. it's full of hair. if you can remove the cover (if it has one. i pry mine off with a butter knife) take it off & get the hair out with some needle nosed pliers. (or if you have a pair of hemostats, they work even better) i have never found a drain cleaner that'll get the hair out of a drain. you just gotta go in there & get it out yourself.

& it'll be all slimy & stinky & nasty too.

when my hair was long, i used to have to clean mine out like once a month. now that it's shorter, i don't have to do it as often, but i still have to every so often.

sorry. it's one of those things nobody tells you about when you go out on your own.

Oh I'm sure its hair. My mom used this stuff, said it worked wonders and is formulated for dissolving hair.

My friend recommended getting one of those snake things that you can pull the hair out with, but that sounds super gross. I wanna just pour it in and let the magic happen!

there were storms with tornadoes up in Springfield MO last night. (that's where our news comes from) & they were doing weather when i chiched over for the Charlie Gibson news a little before 6. they did weather exclusively all night, except on Fox, where they were showing the college football championship. (YaY LSU! we beat the national champions) & anyhoo, they were having so many tornadoes & big hail & stuff that i told galoot they'd probably still be doing weather when we woke up this morning... and they were!

man, i hope Zach & Courtney are ok!!!

i hope it weakens before it all gets here. right now it's just rain. our power already blinked out once though. i better submit before it does it again. i don't want all this typing to have been in vain.

anyways, my best friend came in yesterday and she brought her old Wacom tablet (the USB ones you use to draw on the computer) and gave it to me cuz she bought a new one! now coloring on the computer will be SO much easier! I can't wait to try it out! she also got me a little figurine of the accordion playing Wiggle how thoughtful...

i bought the AppleCare protection plan to extend my warranty to 3 years. they owe me. i forget how much it was, but it was worth it. i got whole new guts, a new disk drive, a new camera & mic, & 2 new mice so far.

i keep telling em they should just sent me a new computer... the 24" stainless steel kind... but they keep ignoring me.

i made some return address labels with mad faces on em for bills.

I ordered new checks, and they had quotations on them (which I totally didn't see in the sample picture and didn't want!) which were really environmentalist. My mom was like, "hey well at least you pretty much only use your checks to pay utilities so only the electric co and gas co will see em!"

I had pencils from china that had typo quotations "Our Love Wilk Live Forever", "My Heart Bests For You", and "You Make My Life For Me" I gave em' out to friends last Valentine's Day cuz' they were so weird
