My mom got an XM radio for Christmas and was listening to it earlier, and Don't Let's Start came on, and she was like, "Hey, They Might Be Giants, isn't that a band you like?"

So I guess this can be the thread where you post about when you hear TMBG on the radio!
I don't think I've heard TMBG on regular radio since Man, It's So Loud In Here, which would be 2001-ish. But then again, I rarely listen to the radio. I find that not driving a car is the main reason.

Earlier this year, I heard "I'm Impressed" and "Take Out The Trash" on a couple of different radio programs; otherwise, it HAS been quite a while...

that's still good though.

They're on Sirius a fair amount. Half the time it's the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse or Higgley Town Heroes, though.

I've only heard TMBG once on the radio, then again...I don't listen to the radio a lot either

it was "Don't Let's Start" and it was on a station my sister listens to when she drives I just happened to be in the car at the right time!

i've heard them on This American Life a few times...i don't remember if it was the times i heard it on the radio or just in like a download though.

They did one whole This American Life show before where they played all thier incidental and theme music, it was cool. Several NPR type shows have used thier stuff as break music over the years.

some radio station galoot listens to uses one of their songs in a promo, but i forget which one. (or used to)

my best freind played me '(She Thinks She's) Edith Head' once when she Dj'd radio at our local college, does that count?

I never listen to the radio, at all. So I wouldn't know if anyone around here plays TMBG songs. I highly doubt it anyway, but who knows.

Back around Christmas Frank O'Toole played "Christmas Cards" and "We Just Go Nuts At Christmas Time". Yes, he's still on the air, and still on WFMU but it's internet only now. The show is called "(More than a Few) Exciting Moments with Frank O'Toole". He also played some stuff off The Else a few weeks ago.

I was in my friend's car, and we were listening to a Chicago alt-rock station (101-something-something!) and they had some "be caller 19 and request the song and win a prize!" So the 19th caller is on air, and is like, "well I know there have been tons of requests for Dragonforce, but I want to request the exact opposite. I'd like to hear Ana Ng by They Might Be Giants!" and that was that

we saw/heard TMBG on the radio!

it was Saturday & we were listening to the Razorbacks on the radio. galoot was chiching around through the Sirius channels on our TV. he went to the kids channel, & said "i bet they'll play a TMBG song" & sure enough, like the 3rd song they played was the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse theme. i recorded it for posterity...
